Richard B. Schwartz
Richard Schwartz founded Richard Schwartz & Associates more than 20 years ago. He is a lifelong resident of Jackson, MS. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1978, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Fraternity and an officer of the Moot Court Board.
Mr. Schwartz is a member of the Mississippi Association of Justice, the Mississippi Prosecutors Association, and the Mississippi Bar Association. He is also a licensed real estate broker and an approved closing attorney for title and mortgage companies. Mr. Schwartz served as Assistant City Prosecutor in Jackson, MS for ten years and as the City Prosecutor for Ridgeland, MS for two years. Mr. Schwartz's firm currently serves the needs of Mississippians by providing quality legal service in the personal injury field.
Mr. Schwartz is involved in numerous charities with a strong focus on programs and charities dedicated to keeping children safe. He donates his time and monetary efforts to charities such as: Blair Batson Children's Hospital of Mississippi, Mississippi Safe Kids, Mississippi Brain Injury Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi, 100 Black Men of Jackson, Coats for Kids/Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, National Multiple Sclerosis—Mississippi Chapter, American Cancer, American Arthritis, New Stage Theater, Ballet Mississippi, and Terry High School's "Take 3 Seconds" seat belt campaign.
Mr. Schwartz is married to Mary Ann Schwartz and has four children.
David Galyon
David Galyon is the managing partner of Richard Schwartz & Associates, P.A. He has litigated matters involving a broad array of substantive areas of practice, but with a special focus on personal injury litigation before state and federal courts and various administrative agencies.
Mr. Galyon has lectured and taught continuing legal education classes on tort law and how to try soft issue injury cases. He is a faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Galyon solves his clients' problems and pays close attention to their individual needs. He believes in protecting the rights of individuals and concentrates his practice in personal injury and auto accidents. He is admitted to practice before all state and district courts in Mississippi as well as the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Galyon received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. While in college, he was president of the student body and was active in politics at both the state and national level, where he lobbied Congress. Mr. Galyon received his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College.
